Hello everyone and Happy Saturday! It’s the weekend finally! I have had such a busy week and I am exhausted. So of course, what do we do when we are tired after a busy week and finally have a weekend to relax? Plan some more blog posts! I saw that this was a Top Ten Tuesday discussion, and honestly, I have a few I really want to get to in Spring. There are certain books I enjoy to read in certain months, and Spring/Summer is 100% meant for Contemporaries. I have A LOT to catch up on in this genre, as lately all I have been reading is fantasy and mystery and adventurey books. I need a good YA Contemporary! So here are some that I plan on getting to this month.

The Field Party Series by Abbi Glines
YES!!! This is one I have really meant to get to. I have had books 1-3 for months now and I think it is time. There is a fourth, but I don’t have it yet (we will see how 1-3 is). AND #5 is coming out this year. Abbi Glines is one of my guilty pleasure writers. I just, ugh no words. I love her books, the Sea Breeze series is just, words cant even describe how much I love that series. I have a good feeling about this one, except this one is focusing on teenagers more than her other books which is more towards Young Adults, but either way, I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. I’ll probably binge the whole series in a week, usually I can read her books pretty quick.

The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon
I received this book for Christmas… for Christmas guys, and still have not read it. It is definitely one you have to be in the mood for and during the winter, I just wasn’t. Now though? I am so ready! Plus, what great timing because the movie is coming out in May I think? Idk, correct me if I’m wrong, but either way super excited to get to this one.
Books 2 and 3 of the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before Series by Jenny Han
I did read book one before watching the movie, loved the book. Loved the movie. Bought the other two books. Never got to it. Well this Spring, that will change, and I can FINALLY cross this series off my ‘Series to Complete’ list in my reading journal.

Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
Taking a slight intermission from Contemporary, I really need to read this book. It’s a classic, which screams trouble for me, but the time has come to take the plunge into wonderland. I decided I wanted to collect these Barnes and Noble editions of some classics, and I own Alice already (pictured above), and I do want to read them eventually at some point. I don’t think I can watch another Hailey In Bookland video where she mentions this book again and not have read it. I feel like I’m really missing out here. Am I? What do you guys think of this one? Yay or Nay?
Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
I almost feel like it’s a crime I haven’t read this yet, and the only reason I haven’t is because I am absolutely terrified to. I felt the same exact way with Eliza and Her Monsters, and I actually ended up really enjoying that book. Soooo many people love this one, and I haven’t read anything by Rowell yet so I’m pretty scared for that too. I’ve read the synopsis so many times and ugh, it sounds like something I wouldn’t enjoy. I know myself, and I feel like this is going to bore me, but, I think I should do it and try. Who knows, maybe I am wrong and will love it.
What books do you want to get to this Spring?
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a delightful book, and very witty. Hope you enjoy it!

I also want to read the 3rd and last book in To All The Boys I´ve Loved Before series. And then I want to read the last book in Me Before You Series and ofcourse I want to get to some romances as well. Feels like spring and summer is the best time to read them 😀

I haven’t read Eleanor and Park either, but it’s definitely on my TBR list. I read Fangirl a couple of weeks ago and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it. I normally don’t read contemporary romance because it sometimes gets too “cheesy” or “trashy” for me as I love action, intrigues and fantasy, but this particular book was really great!

Yes I am with you on the cheesy part! lol. Sometimes it can be a bit too much.
