Lara Jean didn’t expect to really fall for Peter.
She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren’t. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever.
When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean’s feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?

As the first one, I really enjoyed Kitty’s character. Kitty is so fun and although Han kind of writes her older than she is, she’s really funny and has an amazing personality.
I really, REALLY loved John’s character. Oh my god is he so much better than Peter! I thought him and Lara Jean had a real solid connection and she would’ve been way better of with him. He wasn’t mean to her, he was like a really solid and nice guy.
The assassin’s game! Wow, what a cute game. It kind of brought me back to the days where I would play manhunt with my neighbors in the dark, throughout the neighborhood. I really liked that touch and it just showed how good of friends they all were.
Last but not least, her Dad is going to find someone! I’m excited to read book 3 just because I want him to find someone and be happy. He’s a great character, a great dad, I’m so happy he’s going to end up with someone.

First, Lara Jean. Her personality is great and her character is great, but I found myself screaming at her the entire time. Like seriously Lara Jean, get over Genevieve and focus on Peter! Stop comparing yourself to her. But, of course book characters can’t hear your advice lol.
Second, Peter. He was such a loser in this book! I do not remember him being like this in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before! All of his attention was put on Gen, and I’m sorry but if my boyfriend was holding his ex-girlfriend and I saw it, I would be a little ticked off too! Friends or not, there’s like a line you shouldn’t cross with an ex-girlfriend. I feel like standing in the street, holding her tightly and whispering in her ear is one of those things! Also, he never payed attention to Lara Jean! Lara Jean was definitely second best in this book.
Finally, Chris. I do not like Chris AT ALL. I think she’s a horrible friend, honestly the whole book I thought Chris was going to backstab her somehow. Maybe in book 3? I wish she had more solid friends, I guess Lucas is good enough, but still!
Have you guys read this series? Do you like the movie or the books better?
i totally agree with you!! lara jean was so annoying in this book with how often she compared herself to genevieve, and peter sucked in this one.

I had all of the exact same thoughts when I read this a couple of weeks ago. Peter was awful and I definitely want her to end up with John. Guess I’ll have to get to the third book soon!
