Hello everyone! I am so excited for today’s post because if your a true book lover like me, we can all love a good book cover. If your really a true book lover, you can also get frustrated at the amount of book covers that aren’t as easily available to you. I live in the US, so UK book covers aren’t available to me, I would have to order it specially online. Today I wanted to go through some covers of books and see whether their covers are better in the US edition, or the UK edition. Let’s get into it!
Caraval – Stephanie Garber
Of course I wanted to start off with one of my favorite series of all time, Caraval. I much prefer the US editions. I like the blue mixed with the red, in person it’s truly very gorgeous. The UK has that nice clean look which I do like, but I’m not feeling the gold. Plus the lettering on the US edition is beautiful.
Strange the Dreamer – Laini Taylor
So actually, I really love the UK edition of this book. It’s simple, but it’s gorgeous and I can actually read the title. On the US edition it’s kind of hard to read, or is it just me? Definitely would vote for the UK edition on this one.
Words In Deep Blue – Cath Crowley
US on the left, UK on the right. I LOVE the US version, and I mean, the UK version isn’t bad, it’s just boring. The US version is hands down the best.
Eleanor & Park – Rainbow Rowell
So, this one if kind of a hard one to pick for. If I absolutely had to pick? I’d pick the US edition. I don’t hate the UK edition, I just love the simplistic cover that the US one has. I just think the UK edition is gross in color.
What do you guys think of my picks? Any you disagree with? Let me know in the comments!
