Hello all of my bookish readers! It is a little over halfway into the month and I know we are all feeling those summer-y vibes this time of year, and what do people do during these months? They go on vacation! My typical vacation consists of running around Disney World for a few days, but a lot of people’s vacations are lounging around, sitting by a beach, maybe camping at a lake, just being on vacation!
I wanted to put out a little post of what books you guys should bring with you on vacation this summer. Most of these books give me that summer feeling, so let’s just get right into the post!
(1) The Unhoneymooners – Christina Lauren

Of course this amazing book because duh… most of the book takes place in Hawaii! This is a really cute read if your just lounging by the pool or on the beach so I would definitely recommend you pick this one up and add it to your vacation TBR.
(2) Almost Impossible – Nicole Williams

I picked this one that I don’t think a lot of people know about for two reasons: 1) it takes place at a public pool with lifeguards and snack stands and 2) it’s a very light-hearted easy read. I got through it pretty quickly, there’s nothing too heavy to make it a drag read on vacation, but it won’t bore you either.
(3) The Last Black Unicorn – Tiffany Haddish

It’s not a whimsical romance, but it is quite hilarious. Definitely will put a smile on your face with some of the stuff she talks about. If your a Tiffany Haddish fan, definitely pick this up. If not, still pick it up because you will laugh… a lot, I guarantee.
(4) While It Lasts – Abbi Glines

Yes, this book says it’s #3 in a series, but I promise you, you can totally read it on it’s own, it is sooooo amazing. I’ve read this book from her about 3 times already and it is just… ugh. So good! Again, great romance, takes place in the heat, and it’s not so serious. Try Abbi Glines as an author in general, but definitely pick this one up.
What are some books you guys plan on bringing with you on vacation this year?
I was on vacation last week. I reread the first three Bloodlines books when we were in S.C. visiting family cause we were always running around and such and I didn’t want to be annoyed with all the interruptions. I DID get annoyed once when I kept getting interrupted when a certain couple was about to have their first kiss even though I’ve read it a million times. They’re my OTP, what can I say?
I did read Maybe This Time by Kasie West before my vacation ended. But four books is awesome still!

Three were rereads. But I was still impressed cause I am usually slow with rereads too. And thanks! 😀

All I know is that if one goes on a Disney holiday, not much reading is done. The last time I went to Disneyland Paris, I had my kindle with me and I think the only time I read from it was on the train to France!

First of all: love your GIF! Life in a Dreamhouse used to be my favorite series ever lol!
And now you’re mentioning The Unhoneymooners again and that just makes me want to buy it more than ever, especially because I’m going to be doing exactly what you mentioned (sitting by the pool) and so it would be the perfect fit! Sadly, I’m not going to Hawaii, but still!
Happy reading!
