Hello everyone! Another day, another blogmas post. I know this is going to sound totally random, but is anyone doing like a cool advent calendar this year? I’ve done some pretty cool ones in the past, but I noticed this year there’s a Harry Potter pop figure advent calendar???? Like what?! I have tried looking all over for it, but found nothing. I have always loved doing them as a kid, like with the chocolate behind each door, but as I grew up I guess my taste got a little more pricier haha!
Let’s get onto the books that surprised me this year! Both good and bad.
House of Salt and Sorrows – Erin A. Craig

I had high hopes for this one, but man did this turn out to be one weird f-ing book.
Unpregnant – Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan

I had such LOW expectations, thinking it would be horrible and cheesy and just have horrible… umm… events in it. BUT!, come to find out, it didn’t! I actually really enjoyed this! Definitely would recommend. Warning: It is humorous, but on purpose.
Poor Unfortunate Soul: A Tale of the Sea Witch (Villains #3) – Serena Valentino

I was LOVING this series, and then this book hit me. Like in the face. Hard. I was so upset, they did Ursula so wrong in this one. She was basically just a shadow in her own book.
Renegades (Renegades #1) – Marissa Meyer

I knew people liked this, but I figured I wouldn’t just because it has never been something I’ve been that into, but I love it and it’s now become one of my favorite series of all time!
The Perfect Son – Lauren North

This was an ARC I received in the mail and OH MY GOSH, so thrilling! Did not expect that from this book.
Wilder Girls – Rory Power

Was hoping for better. Just was way too weird for me. I think YA horror just is NOT my thing.
Sadie – Courtney Summers

I did not like this one bit. I can’t even remember anything about it it was so bleh for me. I think this might be one of the most surprising to make this list honestly.
Legendary (Caraval #2) – Stephanie Garber

I gave Caraval a 4 out of 5 stars, but when I read Legendary, it blew me out of the water. Seriously, if I could give this a higher rating than 5, I would.
Opposite of Always – Justin A. Reynolds

I bought this book from Target for $10, just because it was pretty, really had no serious intention on reading it and I read it and I LOOOOOOOVED IT! Read this! Read it now I say!
