Goodmorning and welcome to another post of me throwing myself under the bus!
But no seriously, I wanted to do this post because honestly, I think we have all done this. We have all seen a movie, then realized we didn’t know it was a book and were surprised, OR maybe you knew it was a book, but just didn’t really care and saw the movie anyways. Either way, we have all done it. If you haven’t, then hats off to you lol.
I thought my list was going to be very small but turns out…. it’s not. SOOO, here is a list of movies I have watched, but haven’t gotten around to reading the book.
(1) After by Anna Todd

Yes, I watched this and OH MY GOD I loved it! Thank god this came out on Netflix or else I probably never would have found interest to watch it and want to read the series.
(2) The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

This is probably one of the saddest movies I have ever seen. I’ve seen it a few times actually and every time, an actual tear forms in my eyes guys. I have never had an interest in picking up the book though, and I probably never will.
(3) Bird Box by Josh Malerman

I have seen this movie once and that is probably the max amount of times I would watch it. Was it a good movie? Yes. Would I ever read the book? Probably not.
(4) Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Yes, this is a tv show okay? Whatever, it’s on the list. I was obsessed with season one, started season two and ended up hating it. Now it’s just a drawn out show and it’s all unnecessary drama in my opinion.
(5) Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

I saw this and loved it! I 100% have the book on my tbr and plan on reading it soon!
(6) The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger

I love the movie, but don’t really have an interest in picking this one up. Has anyone even ever read it?
(7) Alita: Battle Angel by Yukito Kishiro

I saw this on a first date, loved the movie. Hated the date. Haha!
I did read the Prada book which was outside me normal genres and really liked it. But I have to admit that I enjoyed the movie better. I thought the cast was excellent and it was a good adaptation. I never read the rest of the series and I am not going to. Fun list.
x The Captain
PS I enjoyed the bird box book but I have no urge to see the movie.

Bird Box is definitely one to try to keep separate. I love the book, but the movie was totally different. I enjoyed the watch, but wouldn’t re-watch it.
