Hey everybody! Today I wanted to make a list of some books that really made me laugh during my entire time reading them. I don’t know, I just feel like a lot of books, especially YA is turning a little darker lately, and there’s just a lot of sad themes. SO, I wanted to put this list out here for books that really made me laugh and were also pretty good in general as well. Let’s get onto the list!
(1) Opposite of Always – Justin A. Reynolds

This book was one of my most surprising reads of 2019. Not only was it absolutely amazing, different, and well written.. but it was also super funny! I will definitely be checking out more books by this author in the future.
(2) Little Moments of Love – Catana Chetwynd

So cute and light, but the best part? It was freaking hilarious. Couldn’t put it down, and I actually got an Arc of her second book, which was also funny, but Little Moments of Love definitely still takes the cake.
(3) Josh and Hazel’s Guide To Not Dating – Christina Lauren

The characters in this book should honestly get their own reality tv show. This needs to be a movie, a tv show, a podcast, a youtube series… IDC! It needs to be turned into something because I laughed my ass off throughout it.
(4) The Unhoneymooners – Christina Lauren

I feel like Christina Lauren books have great humor in them, and here’s another example of why I say that. I think this was probably one of my favorite books from 2019, and if you’ve read it, I’m pretty sure you understand why.
(5) The Last Black Unicorn – Tiffany Haddish

I didn’t exactly like the book as a whole, I gave this a 3 out of 5 stars, BUT, I did laugh quite a bit through this audiobook. If you want to pick this up, I would HIGHLY recommend the audiobook.
(6) Unpregnant – Jenni Hendriks, Ted Caplan

I don’t usually like road trip books, but this was hilarious and just straight up awesome. I thought the humor would be inappropriate for the situation they were in, but it actually worked really well. This will be on Netflix soon I believe, so keep your eye out for this.
(7) Undead Girl Gang – Lily Anderson

Another one, not intended to be humorous, but oh my god the sarcasm was really enjoyable. The sarcasm, the way the girls acted, the way they told stupid little jokes, it all rounded out really well.
(8) Fumbled (Playbook #2) – Alexa Martin

I didn’t laugh so much at the first book in the series, even though I enjoyed it just as much, but this book was super funny. I thought the relationship was awesome and I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit with this one.
(9) Sheets – Brenna Thummler

I laughed at this book simply because the ghost people were so adorable and funny looking, I just couldn’t help it. I don’t think this book meant to be labeled as hilarious, but it was.
What books have made you laugh recently? Did any of my picks make you laugh? Let me know in the comments.

Awesome list!! 🙂
